Descend 600 metres into the ancient caldera for a morning of unparalleled wildlife viewing on the crater floor. After a picnic lunch, ascend and begin the return journey to Arusha.
The dry season from June to October offers the most prolific wildlife viewing around waterholes. For the Great Migration, January to March is ideal for the calving season in the southern plains.

The herds are usually in the Serengeti year-round, but for the best experience, visit between June and October for the river crossings or January to March for calving.
