Short on time but unwilling to compromise, this five-day route covers the northern circuit's three heavyweights. Tarangire's elephant herds, a night and a full day in the Serengeti, and a crater game drive create a remarkably complete safari in under a week.
Private throughout, with the flexibility to linger at sightings and shape each day around your interests.
Day by Day
Collect from your Arusha hotel or the airport and drive to Tarangire for an afternoon game drive among baobabs and elephant herds along the river.
Journey via the Ngorongoro highlands onto the Serengeti plains, game-driving to your camp in the central Seronera valley region.
A full day of game drives on the plains — big cats in the morning cool, great herds through the day and a Serengeti sunset to finish.
Morning game drive, then travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with an optional Maasai boma visit en route. Overnight on the crater rim or in Karatu.
Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive with picnic lunch, then ascend and drive back to Arusha where the safari ends — or fly onward to Zanzibar.
Strong all year; June–October for peak elephant numbers in Tarangire, January–March for green-season beauty and calving herds.
