Forests, flamingos and tree-climbing lions

Ernest Hemingway called Manyara 'the loveliest I had seen in Africa'. Though small, the park packs in remarkable habitat variety: dense fig and mahogany forest, open floodplains, hot springs and the lake itself, which can blush pink with thousands of flamingos.
