For travellers who dream of the hunt. Our predator safaris focus on the Serengeti's big-cat heartlands — the Seronera Valley, the kopjes of the central plains and the Ndutu woodlands — where lions, leopards and cheetahs are seen almost daily.

Tanzania holds Africa's largest lion population — around 14,000 animals — and the Serengeti is their stronghold. With roughly 3,000 lions, some 1,000 leopards and the finest cheetah habitat in East Africa, the park offers predator viewing that few places on the continent can match.

A predator-focused safari moves at the pace of the cats. We position you near the Seronera River's legendary leopard trees at first light, scan the granite kopjes for lion prides in the heat of the day, and follow cheetah mothers teaching their cubs to hunt on the short-grass plains. During the calving season around Ndutu, the concentration of predators around the herds is simply extraordinary.

Because every Natureloop safari is private, you never share a sighting decision with strangers. If you want to sit with a leopard for three hours waiting for it to descend from its tree, that is exactly what we do. Our senior guides read behaviour — they will often tell you what a cat is about to do before it does it.
