Descend 600 metres into a lost world for a morning of unparalleled wildlife viewing in the caldera. After exploring the soda lakes and fever tree forests, return to Arusha by early evening.
The dry season between June and October offers the most dramatic wildlife sightings as animals gather at permanent water sources. January and February are also excellent for witnessing the calving season in the southern plains.
