Depart Arusha early for a scenic drive through the verdant Ngorongoro Highlands into the heart of the Serengeti. Enjoy your first afternoon game drive across the iconic central plains, home to resident big cats and vast herds of grazers.
Witness the savannah awaken with a dawn game drive, the ideal hour for spotting elusive predators on the hunt. After a bush picnic lunch, we transition toward the cooler altitudes of the Ngorongoro Highlands for a relaxing evening.
Descend into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera for a morning of exceptional wildlife viewing among the densest concentration of animals in Africa. Following a picnic by the hippo pool, we ascend the crater walls for the return journey to Arusha.
The dry season from June to October offers the most predictable wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources. The short rainy season in January and February is also excellent for witnessing the calving season in the southern plains.
