The journey then transitions to the highlands, culminating in a descent into the world’s largest intact caldera.

Day by Day
After a personal briefing, journey to Tarangire to explore its sprawling plains and massive elephant populations. Spend the day tracking lions and leopards hidden amongst the baobabs before retiring to your lodge near Mto wa Mbu.
Descend 600 metres into the verdant crater floor for a morning of unparalleled wildlife viewing, including a chance to spot the elusive Black Rhino. After a captivating day in this natural amphitheatre, begin the return journey to Arusha.
The dry months from late June to October offer the most concentrated wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. However, the lush green season from November to May is exceptional for birdwatching and breathtaking scenery.
